From Bright Future (2024), Lenker's (Big Thief) solo album. "ruined" is about romantic downfall and obsessive rumination — the chorus's repetition ("You come around I'm ruined") mirrors the cyclical nature of longing it describes. Stripped-down, piano-led, one of the album's most quietly devastating moments.
