15. Bob's Burgers, The National & Lapsley — Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom

The Bob's Burgers Music Album is a full-length compilation of original songs from the animated TV series, released on Sub Pop. 112 tracks.

Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom is the final track. The National contributed the music and Lapsley sang on it. Sounds entirely like something The National would release under their own name.

The subject matter concerns a bathroom. The perspective is that of a cartoon character. This does not make it any less moving.

Sits here as the deliberate curveball in the playlist — the moment where you do a double take and then stay with it.
