Transmitter is the fourth full-length from Cut Worms, the project of Brooklyn-based artist Max Clarke. Produced by Jeff Tweedy at Wilco's Loft studio in Chicago.
The collaboration came about after Cut Worms opened for Wilco on their 2024 summer tour. Tweedy invited Clarke to record at The Loft at the end of the run.
Dream is the album's closing track and its most stripped-back moment. Clarke wrote it on the piano in a friend's church, later finishing it in what he calls a "secret piano dungeon" somewhere in New York City.
He originally titled it "Cut Worms' 1,111th Dream." The record reckons with disconnection and the cost of comfort in a networked world.
