Flipturn are a Florida-bred indie rock band who signed to Dualtone Records in June 2022 and released their debut album Shadowglow in August 2022. The track "June" appeared on their project July, with the band swapping cover art between the two — a clever conceptual pair where each release's cover features the other's name. The band's social media noted the swap was "such a treat," and fans responded warmly to the interconnected release concept. Flipturn have built their following through relentless touring and streaming growth, becoming one of the more prominent emerging indie acts of the early 2020s.
