Glen Hansard — When Your Mind's Made Up (Funkhaus Version)
Played: 2026-07-30
Glen Hansard originally wrote "When Your Mind's Made Up" for the 2007 film Once, in which he co-starred with Markéta Irglová; the song appeared in the film's climactic studio-recording scene. This Funkhaus Version was recorded live over two evenings in April 2025 at Berlin's Funkhaus recording complex — a former East German broadcasting centre known for its exceptional acoustics — with a live audience. It appears on Don't Settle (Vol. 2 — Transmissions West), released 26 June 2026 via Plateau Records/Secretly Distribution, the second volume of Hansard's live-at-Funkhaus series following Transmissions East. Hansard died on 29 July 2026, the day before this show airs, making this version a poignant listen — his last major live-album release. The show's pre-air TikTok hook opened by noting the show would pay tribute to Hansard and to Kavinsky, both lost that week.
