"Nightcall" was released as a single on 2 April 2010 via Record Makers, co-produced by Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and mixed by French electronic artist SebastiAn. The vocals are performed by Lovefoxxx (lead singer of Brazilian band CSS), though Kavinsky also recorded his own instrumental version. The track became iconic after being used in the opening credits of Nicolas Winding Refn's 2011 film Drive starring Ryan Gosling, and also appeared in The Lincoln Lawyer. It was performed at the closing ceremony of the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics with Angèle and Phoenix. On 29 July 2026 — the day before this show — news broke that Kavinsky had died aged 50.
TikTok angle: Framed as a tribute following Kavinsky's death at 50 the week of the show, made all the more cathartic given the track's legacy via Drive and its performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics closing ceremony.
