Maria Taylor — Sorry I Was Yours (feat. Conor Oberst)

Track 3 of Story's End, released as a single 12 March 2026 on Million Stars Records; album due 3 April 2026 — Taylor's first album in over seven years. The ten songs grew out of personal upheaval including the collapse of her marriage and a close friendship. Recorded at ARC Studios in Omaha with producer Ben Brodin (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit), alongside Mike Mogis and Brad Armstrong; strings arranged and recorded by Nate Walcott (Bright Eyes, First Aid Kit) with Pierre DeReeder (Rilo Kiley). Taylor is half of Azure Ray and has been tied to Conor Oberst's orbit since Bright Eyes took Azure Ray on tour in the early 2000s; Oberst contributed lyrics and vocals to this track and lyrics to another album cut, 'Nathaniel.'
