Metric — Time Is a Bomb

Track 3 and second single from Romanticize the Dive, due 24 April 2026 on Thirty Tigers; released 4 March 2026. Recorded at Electric Lady Studios in New York, reuniting the band with producer Gavin Brown, who worked with them on Fantasies and Synthetica. Co-produced by Jimmy Shaw and Liam O'Neil; mixed by John O'Mahoney. Metric's 10th studio album. Vocalist Emily Haines: 'Time is a bomb that's ticking faster / I love to flirt with disaster.' The album announcement came alongside news of a joint tour with Broken Social Scene and Stars — Metric, Broken Social Scene, and Stars came up together in Toronto's early 2000s Arts & Crafts scene and have been frequent collaborators.
