Modiste — Shadows

Modiste are a Louisville, Kentucky synth-pop trio — vocalist Sydney Sleadd, Dennis Stein, and Kyle Stallings — who formed out of the Louisville Rock Lottery IV event in early 2026. "Shadows" is their second single, exploring longing, forbidden love, and surrender, with production built to create "a hypnotic gravity" around the vocals. Industrial synth-pop, slow-descent. Placement: closes Segment 2 at 5:29, giving the section weight before the pull-back into Segment 3.
