Of Montreal is the long-running project of Kevin Barnes, based in Athens, Georgia, formed 1996, known for psychedelic, maximalist indie pop that shifts style and tone without losing its identity. Barnes writes and produces everything himself; the project has released over a dozen albums. Sits here as an arc between the slower atmospheric run and the art-rock that follows.
