Birmingham indie band formed in 2011, now on their fifth studio album Hum (due June 19, 2026, Submarine Cat Records). "Mud" is produced by Bill Ryder-Jones, who also helmed their 2024 record There's A Big Star Outside. The song emerged from no-pressure sessions at their label's studio — friends playing music with nothing to prove. Frontman Austin Williams on the chorus: "I immediately thought it was too good for it to be an original thought; it's like seeing a magic trick and being told it's actually magic." Placement: opens Segment 2 with warmth and forward motion — a band five records in, still sounding like they're discovering something. Hum out June 19 via Submarine Cat Records.

From Hum (19 June 2026), made with returning producer Bill Ryder-Jones. A grungy, anthemic, baggy-beat track; frontman Austin Williams wrote it about the one constant in his life — his love for his wife. He's said the chorus arrived almost fully formed: "I immediately thought it was too good for it to be an original thought." A Daily Music Report pick.
