A live reimagining of the classic 17-minute opening track from the 1974 album Phaedra (Virgin Records), performed on Tangerine Dream's 2014 farewell tour dedicated to the original album. The triple live CD was released 28 August 2014. The original Phaedra is widely regarded as one of the most important electronic albums ever made: recorded at The Manor in Oxfordshire in November 1973, Tangerine Dream's first release on Virgin Records and first to use a Moog analog sequencer as the rhythmic backbone, establishing the Berlin School style. As the oscillators warmed up during the original sessions they began to detune, creating unintended pitch drift that became part of the track's identity. The album reached number 15 in the UK without radio airplay. Edgar Froese died in January 2015, two months after the tour ended. Label: Eastgate Music & Arts.
