VPC Ensemble — New Life

Played: 2026-07-30 (TikTok)

VPC stands for Virtual Perfection Cowboy, the solo project of an artist who wrote and produced the EP Life Is a Strange Loop: Side A during a season of new fatherhood. The artist has described the record as carrying "the quiet vertigo of watching a new life begin while your own keeps moving." "New Life" opens the EP and was released in July 2026. The EP's title references Douglas Hofstadter's Pulitzer-winning book Gödel, Escher, Bach, where the concept of a "strange loop" describes self-referential systems — a fitting metaphor for the cyclical nature of becoming a parent while remaining yourself.

TikTok angle: Framed around the artist being a new father and the track's gorgeous, looping ambient quality reflecting on watching a new life begin while his own keeps moving.
